Test X180 Alpha Review – Worth It?
Test X180 Alpha is a new bodybuilding supplement marketed as a testosterone booster. Find out everything you need to know about Test X180 Alpha today in our review.
What is Test X180 Alpha?
Test X180 Alpha is a nutritional supplement marketed primarily towards men who want to increase their testosterone. The supplement claims to use natural ingredients that gently support your testosterone levels – so you don’t end up with the harmful side effects associated with anabolic steroids and other powerful testosterone boosters.
The supplement is made by Force Factor, LLC, a bodybuilding supplement manufacturer known for its nitric oxide preworkout supplements and other products under the Test X180 brand.
Like most testosterone boosters, Test X180 Alpha promises to raise your libido, heighten your sex drive, boost lean muscle growth, and enhance your endurance at the gym.
It claims to do that using natural ingredients, herbal extracts, and vitamins and minerals linked to higher testosterone levels.
With that in mind, let’s take a closer look at how Test X180 Alpha works.
How Does Test X180 Alpha Work?
Test X180 Alpha works using a series of different blends. Each blend is a proprietary formula packed with different nutrients. We never like to see proprietary formulas, because it makes it impossible to verify the dosage of different ingredients inside the formula. Nevertheless, Test X180 Alpha does give us the names of the ingredients inside each formula. So we at least have that.
Key ingredients in the formula include thiamine, riboflavin, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, zinc, selenium, copper, and manganese. These are the same vitamins and minerals we see in other Test X180 products -so this isn’t a surprise.
Where Test X180 Alpha differs from its brothers is in its “Sexual Performance Blend” and “Free Testosterone Boosting Matrix”. Here’s what’s included in each one:
-Sexual Performance Blend: L-Citrulline, Catuaba Bark Extract, Maca Root Extract, Damiana Leaf, and Muira Puama
-Free Testosterone Boosting Matrix: Testofen (proprietary fenugreek seed extract), White Mushroom, Stinging Nettle extract, Chrysin, and Diindolylmethane
As mentioned above, we don’t know the actual dosage of any of these ingredients. We just know the total dosage of the proprietary formula that contains those ingredients. That’s a problem, because it makes it hard to assess the benefits of Test X180 Alpha and compare the effects to other studies and supplements.
But to start, we’ll talk about Testofen, which is one of the most active ingredients in all Test X180 supplements. Testofen is a proprietary formula made from fenugreek seed extract. It contains 50% fenuside, which is a high concentration of the active ingredient inside fenugreek.
Fenugreek has been used for centuries as a natural aphrodisiac. It’s been shown to have a mild effect on testosterone levels in modern studies. It appears to work by giving your body the precursors it needs to produce testosterone. So it doesn’t directly raise testosterone levels – it just gives your body the tools it needs to raise its own testosterone levels.
Testofen itself has undergone some studies, which have once again indicated some mild benefits. None of the studies have been large scale studies, so more research is required before we can definitively link fenugreek to higher testosterone levels.
The other major ingredient in Test X180 Alpha is L-Citrulline, an amino acid used by your body to widen blood vessels. Once again, L-Citrulline doesn’t exactly raise testosterone levels. instead, it widens your blood vessels, which makes you feel more powerful.
Obviously, widening your blood vessels also makes it easier to get and maintain an erection, which is why you may be tricked into thinking your testosterone levels are higher.
Ultimately, without dosage information or individual ingredient breakdowns, it’s impossible to verify the claims made by Force Factor.
Compounding this problem further is that Test X180 Alpha itself hasn’t gone through any clinical trials. Force Factor has basically just mashed a bunch of ingredients together and hoped that the effects will stack. We know the dose of the proprietary formulas, but we don’t know the dose of the ingredients inside those formulas. That’s a problem.
Test X180 Alpha Ingredients
Here’s what we know about the ingredients inside Test X180 Alpha. As you can see, we lack specific ingredient breakdowns for most of the active ingredients:
The manufacturer recommends that you take 4 capsules per day. With 120 capsules in each container, one package of Test X180 Alpha is expected to last you 30 days.
One problem we immediately notice with Test X180 Alpha is that its amino acid dosage is nowhere near the amount we like to see: the amino acid L-Citrulline is included as part of the Sexual Performance Blend. Typically, when used to treat erectile dysfunction or for bodybuilding, people use a dosage of 3,000mg per day. The entire Sexual Performance Blend itself is only 860mg, so you’re better off taking a straight-up amino acid supplement if you want to widen your blood vessels.
Some studies even indicate that you should take 6,000 to 8,000mg of citrulline before working out. In any case, Test X180 Alpha doesn’t have nearly the recommended dose we like to see.
Test X180 Alpha Pricing
Test X180 Alpha is priced at two different rates. You can get one rate from GNC as a member and another rate as the normal retail price.
-Test X180 Alpha (120 Capsules): $139.99 ($124.99 Member Price)
Like all GNC products, you can sign up for an autoship subscription to receive a 10% discount on your product. If you take 4 capsules per day (which is the recommended dose), then each bottle will last for one month.

The company is particularly well-known for its pre-workouts and intra-workouts, which promise to get you pumped up before a workout and keep you fueled during a workout.
Force Factor products are sold through GNC and the official Force Factor website.
The company was founded in 2009 by two Harvard University rowing students. You can get in touch with the company by calling 1-877-204-3263.
Should You Use Test X180 Alpha to Raise Testosterone Levels?
Test X180 Alpha says all the right things about its benefits, but it never backs up those benefits with major studies or even dosage information. Meanwhile, ingredients like L-Citrulline – which are typically taken in doses above 3,000mg per day – are surprisingly under-dosed.
That’s a problem when you’re paying such a high price for a one month supply of a nutritional supplement.
However, if you don’t mind paying a little extra for a testosterone booster that may have mild testosterone boosting benefits while also widening your blood vessels, then Test X180 Alpha may be the right choice for you.
