ASDM Beverly Hills Ultra Firming Cream

ASDM Beverly Hills Ultra Firming Cream

By Denise M.

I was given the ADSM Beverly Hills Firming Cream to test.  I was excited about trying this product because being in my late 50’s, I am anxious to try any and all firming creams to see if I can find the Holy Grail. I’m always looking for that fountain of youth the older I get. I would describe my skin as pretty good for a woman in her 50’s with not too many wrinkles.  I am, however, starting to notice some slight sagging around the jaw and nasolabial areas. I am religious though about using sunscreen every day no matter the weather and I am always reading up on any current cutting-edge ingredients that come out on the market. I’m a sucker for a new product and decided in my next life, I was going to be a skin care tester in some scientific lab somewhere creating concoctions that I could try on my skin.

With that being said, I was intrigued to use this product due to the many firming ingredients, all of them seeming to pack a knockout punch.  Matrixyl 3000, of course, is the leader in being able to firm and change the skin texture and tone, according to many articles I’ve read online. But, ADSM did not stop there. There’s also Tripeptide-5, argireline, hyaluronic acid, SesaFlash, and coenzyme Q-10. I was familiar with most of these ingredients except for the SesaFlash. So, inquiring minds wanted to know and I found out that Sesa Flash claims a tightening action, wrinkle releasing effect, sensorial experience, and moisturization level. SesaFlash can be used in all types of applications where smoothing, tightening, firming, anti-aging or moisturizing properties are desired. It is an ideal complement to long-term, anti-aging active ingredients such as Matrixyl 3000 and others. (source)

I started by adding this cream to my morning routine by first using the one or two serums I have as they are lighter in texture and I didn’t think they would interfere with the effectiveness of the cream and then to incorporate this product before any of my other moisturizers so it had a chance to absorb into my skin. I did not notice any oiliness or greasiness while using this product either. ADSM claims that this is a luxurious cream and I would very much agree with that statement. But it is not so luxurious that it felt heavy or felt like it would clog your pores, it just has a very light feeling and it absorbs right into the skin, leaving no shininess, but a nice glow, as ADSM states. Then there is the lovely fragrance of this cream. Definitely not overpowering but more of a light, calming scent. It was not something that lingered, it quickly dissipated once it was smoothed in so that if someone is sensitive to fragrances, this cream would not cause them any concern.

While I really did enjoy using this cream and was happy that I was able to test it, I did not notice as much firming as I would have liked. I was looking to see if this cream could give me an actual lifting effect or a lessening of those dreaded nasolabial lines, which would then give the impression of firmness. It did not do that but I did notice that the tone of my skin seemed brighter and clearer. All in all, I could not recommend this for any firming action, as I unfortunately did not see that in the period of time that I tested it. So, my quest for firmness continues.
