Organic Radiance Ultra Nourishing Anti-Aging Elixir

By Cynthia M.

I’m 55 years old and have been “skin-conscious” since my early 30s. Now, I have dry skin with forehead creases and the dreaded marionette lines. However, my biggest concern is the loss of skin elasticity. There are a host of wonderful natural ingredients that will make any green product user reach for Organic Radiance Ultra Nourishing Anti-Aging Elixir ($65 in the shop). I will highlight the major players.

Second on the list of ingredients is sodium ascorbyl phosphate, a derivative of Vitamin C. The potent antioxidant helps stimulate collagen production and brighten the skin. The next major player is niacinamide, which is known to help reduce hyperpigmentation, soften wrinkles, and ease inflammation.

Rosehip Seed Oil helps skin regain its natural texture and tone, cassia angustifolia seed polysaccharide (whew) is a botanical similar to hyaluronic acid and Resistem is a plant stem cell that’s claimed to address inflammation, skin laxity and poor texture. If this is not enough to impress you, there are loads of antioxidants, including raspberry seed oil, seabuckthorn oil, green tea and CoQ10.

I decided to use the elixir only on the right side of my face and on the back of my right hand. I applied the lotion as directed: twice a day, morning and evening. My morning regimen included a cleanser, a vitamin c serum, the Ultra Nourishing Anti-Aging Elixir and sunscreen. In the evening, I cleansed, applied Retin-A and used the Ultra Nourishing Anti-Aging Elixir again.

The lotion has the color of an orange creamsicle but no scent. I was expecting one with all of those wonderful oils, but no, no scent. The lotion goes on silky and absorbs quickly, and I found it to be non-greasy and shine-free.

The label reads, “To rejuvenate, repair, build collagen, reduce wrinkles, firm and smooth the skin to a radiant youthful glow.” After four weeks, I‘m sorry to say that I’ve seen no improvement in my forehead creases or marionette lines. My skin is hydrated and soft, but alas, there are no significant changes in texture or firmness.

All in all, I think this would be a wonderful lotion for people in their 20s or 30s — those just becoming concerned with their skin. But it didn’t seem helpful in my fight against wrinkles and loss of elasticity.
