The manufacturer explains that Culturelle’s bacteria “is naturally sourced, and proven to work in harmony with the human body.” The bacteria also has the unique ability to survive past your stomach acid and join the intestinal wall to form a “strong barrier against non-beneficial bacteria.”
Ultimately, the creators of Culturelle claim you’d have to eat about 10 cups of probiotic yogurt per day to get the same number of probiotic CFUs found in a single capsule of Culturelle.
