SkinOwl Geranium Beauty Drops

SkinOwl Geranium Beauty Drops

by Carolyn Payne

I have been using the new Geranium Oil over the past month in lieu of my other facial oils, typically blue emu, rose hip, jojo, bio oil, a mixture of several organic oils and squalene oils. The last three have been my “go to” choices before trying this oil.

I have sensitive 74- year-old skin with some dry patches. I normally wash and or scrub with my Clairsonic brush at night. A couple times a week I use a moisturizing or enzyme mask and my Truth Vitality Lux Renew. I follow up with toner, oil and moisturizer, letting the oil sink in for a few minutes before I put on moisturizer.

Purists will be pleased to know that this ingredient has only two ingredients, both organic: argan oil, which provides hydration and has some anti-inflammatory properties, and rose geranium oil. Geranium is said to control the production of sebum to balance uneven skin and promote elasticity. According to TIA, it has also been shown to “calm irritated skin, clear acne, and heal bruises, burns, cuts and eczema, due to its astringent, antiseptic, tonic, antibiotic and anti-infectious properties.”

I like the geranium oil. It doesn’t irritate my skin or cause any breakouts. It seems to be a little thicker than my other oils, which should be better in the winter months as a moisturizer. I occasionally get a few blemishes and this geranium oil didn’t make them worse. I tried it at first morning and night but found that my face looked too oily for day time use under my sunscreen.

I loved trying this oil and I would purchase this product. Organic facial oils are super great for aging — or any age — skin to keep those pesky fine lines away!
