Fifteen years ago a young girl suffering from extreme eczema was walking the streets of Seoul, Korea and was approached by a complete stranger who felt compelled to compliment the young lady on her makeup.

About Peach & Lily

Upon learning that the young girl had in fact done the makeup herself the woman insisted that she pursue a career in beauty.  The young girl was so impressed by this meeting that during her last year in high school, she started taking beauty school classes after her regular curriculum.  Once she had the knowledge the determination took her the rest of the way and she began to manage her eczema and finally had the glow of a eighteen year old young lady.

She completed College and entered the world of Finance and Consulting eventually attending Harvard Business School. All the while she was performing facials and make overs on family and friends.  Sharing her knowledge of the amazing skin care products Korea had to offer them. She was overwhelmed with the a feeling of accomplishment as her friends and family boasted of their amazing new skin.

While consulting for a Western Beauty company she realized just how many Korean beauty products were being sought by the Western world.  She saw her opportunity and took her Skincare knowledge and combined it with her Harvard business know how and Peach & Lily was born.  Four years later Peach & Lily continue to provide amazing skincare and beauty products that are all natural and all from Korea.

Every four to six weeks Peach & Lily “hit the pavement” in search of the next best thing in Korean Beauty.  Their search stays local to Korea and Japan and encompasses the tried and true products all the way to the up and coming overnight successes.  They interview store directors, lab techs, well respected and esteemed dermatologists and estheticians, even the Brands themselves, all to stay on top of the latest Korean Beauty has to offer. .

Get Feedback

Peach and Lily is looking for brands that literally have a cult like following.  They want the Brands that people swear by and have done so for years.  They will not turn their backs on something new and exciting but it has pass the test.  Are the people who are using it loyal and why?

Vet Formulas

Peach & Lily scrutinizes every detail with regard to the ingredients put into the brands they are considering.  All natural products are a must and they must be gentle to the skin.  No corners can be cut when creating the final product.  Basically if they do not like what they see in the formulation process, they are not interested.

Before a product can even reach the final cut list it will be tested by persons of all ages, ethnicities and skin types.  Those persons are then rigorously questioned about the product they have been testing.  If said product get at minimum of eight out of ten possible stars, it will make it to the final cut list.

Korean women are known for their glowing and flawless skin.  This is much in part to their beauty ritual that is performed daily and can be a bit overwhelming for someone who is not used to taking a lot of time with their skin.  But if you want that glowing perfection it is going to take a ten step skin care program. The Korean Beauty Ritual can broken down as follows:

A Run through of the Ritual

The first seven steps the Ritual are done in the morning.  Typically the face is washed first with an oil based cleanser removing the oil based makeup that may have been left behind as well as SPF and other skin impurities.  Once your face is nice and clean a toner is used to deal with those unsightly large pores and normalizes them.  Now that your face is cleansed and toned you will want to apply an essence which will moisturize the skin and prepare it for the next step.  That next step being the application of serums and ampoules which will address very specific concerns such as wrinkles and fine lines.  This is a part of the ritual where you decide how much and what needs to be addressed, adding or removing serums and ampoules as is specific to your needs.

This brings us to the fifth step, see already halfway there and so far not too hard, which is moisturize.  Now I know that it would appear that we already dealt with this is step number three but step number five is specific to your eyes.  The skin around the eyes is much thinner and more vulnerable dehydration which leads to fine lines and wrinkles so we want to give that area a little extra moisture and attention. Which brings us to our final morning step which is to protect.  The sun does more damage than one would expect, be sure to add an SPF to your beauty regime.

You can take the Ritual to the next level and further enhance your skin from the inside out you can add the last three steps.  First on that list is to exfoliate two to three times per week.  You will want to use a gentle non-irritant exfoliant that will assist in the unclogging of pores caused by your makeup and the toxins in the air around you. It will also encourage a healthy turnover of cells.  THis will allow for a more fluid product absorption. Next on that list is the use of sheet masks.  These are really an extension of the serum process but allows for an extra at the end of the day treatment base on how your skin is feeling.  Finally is a sleep mask, like the exfoliant and sheet masks these should be utilized two to three times per week in lieu of your usual nighttime moisturizer.  It acts much like a moisturizing cream but stays on your skin all night and allows for a complete absorption of the nutrients.  You will literally be getting your beauty sleep.
