Vskin Active – Snake Venom Peptide Cream

Vskin Active Review – Right For You?

Vskin Active is a new anti-aging skin cream that promises to protect your skin from the effects of aging by boosting collagen production. Here’s our review.

What is Vskin Active?

Vskin Active is an anti-aging skin cream that was recently launched online. The product isn’t available in any stores or online retail outlets: it’s exclusively available from the official manufacturer’s website.

The topical cream promises to provide similar benefits to laser therapy and Botox – just without the painful side effects. By promoting the production of collagen and elastin, Vskin Active claims to help your body reduce sagging and wrinkling in order to maintain its elasticity and firmness.

Vskin Active calls itself a “snake venom peptide cream” and uses the Syn-Ake proprietary formula – something we’ve seen in a number of popular skin creams to date. Typically, Syn-Ake skin creams are pricey formulas that offer limited real-world benefits in independent testing.

As the name suggests, Syn-Ake mimics the effects of a certain type of snake venom, freezing your skin into place and reducing the formation of fine lines and wrinkles.

Is Vskin Active yet another Syn-Ake skin cream scam? Or is this the real deal? Let’s take a closer look at how it works.

How Does Vskin Active Work?

Vskin Active claims to work by:

-Eliminating the look of dark circles

-Reducing the appearance of wrinkles

-Enhancing skin hydration

-Countering the effects of stress

In order to achieve these benefits, Vskin Active uses “premium ingredients” that altogether “replenish, revitalize, and moisturize” your skin.

That all sounds good, right? Unfortunately, that’s where the good times stop for Vskin Active.

Vskin Active doesn’t list any of its ingredients aside from the Syn-Ake formula. We have no idea what’s included in each bottle of this formula because the manufacturer never actually tells us.

Making things look worse for Vskin Active is that the formula has never been independently studied, nor has it gone through any clinical trials. So all of the benefits you see on the Vskin Active page are not verified: they’re just guesses about how Vskin Active works.

Put simply, Vskin Active could be a cheap moisturizer masquerading as a $100 skin cream. Today, you can find cheap and average moisturizers from any grocery store. Vskin Active hasn’t given us any evidence that it’s different from one of these cheap moisturizers.

Vskin Active Ingredients

As mentioned above, the Vskin Active manufacturer refuses to disclose its full list of ingredients.

All we really know is that the skin care product is labeled as a “Syn-Ake” cream. Syn-Ake is a proprietary anti-aging formula made by a Swedish company named Pentapharm Ltd. The formula is marketed as an injection-free alternative to Botox. It works by reducing muscular contractions in the face.

Syn-Ake itself is a synthetic formula (it’s made in a lab and does not come from natural sources). It’s based on a synthetic tripeptide that mimics the effects of Waglerin 1, which is a peptide found in the venom of the Temple Viper (the formula does not actually come from snake venom).

Typically, the formula is used in concentrations of 1 to 4%. Once again, the manufacturer of Vskin Active hasn’t listed its Syn-Ake concentration or any other ingredients. That leads us to assume the formula is available in a concentration of 1% or even less.

Vskin Active Pricing

Vskin Active is priced through one of the many anti-aging “free trial” offers we’ve seen online in recent years. That free trial offer works like this:

-You pay $4.95 for shipping and handling today

-You receive a 30mL (30 day supply) of Vskin Active within 10 calendar days (3 to 5 business days)

-You must return the skin cream within 14 calendar days of your initial purchase, otherwise you’ll be charged the skin cream’s full price, which is between $80 and $100

-Full pricing details for Vskin Active have not yet been released. The manufacturer has also not forced users to check a box confirming they’ve read the terms and conditions. So it’s possible, based on the current sales page, that Vskin Active is legitimately priced at $4.95 for a 30 day supply through a trial. However, most anti-aging skin creams marketed like Vskin Active have an enormous catch attached to them – like the full retail price being charged after you’ve already ordered.

In any case, the Vskin Active trial is only available to US customers. You can also hit the “back” button on the main sales page to enjoy a small discount on your Vskin Active order.

Should You Use Vskin Active to Reduce the Effects of Aging on your Skin?

Vskin Active is an anti-aging skin cream that makes big promises about its ability to reverse the effects of aging on your skin.

Unfortunately, there’s no reason to believe any of these benefits are true: Vskin Active never lists its ingredients, nor does the company list any clinical trials or scientific evidence supporting the cream.

Making matters worse is that the Vskin Active operates under a shady pricing policy, which offers you a “free trial” today only for that free trial to cost you a significant chunk of change within 14 days (your credit card is automatically charged, and continues to be charged every month until you cancel).

Good skin cream manufacturers with high-quality products don’t need to operate this way. Vskin Active has clearly taken a different approach.
