BOOM by Cindy Joseph – Organic Skin Care Beauty Cosmetic Brand?

Boom By Cindy Joseph Review – Right For You?

BOOM By Cindy Joseph is a lineup of cosmetic products made by makeup artist turned supermodel Cindy Joseph. Here’s our review of the BOOM! lineup of cosmetic products.

What is Boom By Cindy Joseph?

Boom By Cindy Joseph is a line of “pro-aging” cosmetic products “for women of every generation”. The makeup product lineup claims to be designed “for women who want to reveal their genuine beauty with an honest and realistic approach.”

Once you get past all the marketing speak, however, you’ll learn that Boom is a lineup of makeup products specifically designed for women over 40. It includes everything from lipsticks to toners to moisturizers.

The lineup was created by Cindy Joseph, a former makeup artist who became a supermodel. Cindy appears on each Boom product page, where she tells visitors how to use each product for maximum effect.

The “pro-age” idea was founded off the fact that most beauty and makeup companies focus on anti-aging and fighting back the effects of aging. Cindy Joseph, however, wants to take a different approach with her “pro-aging” movement, where we embrace our aging bodies while using natural makeups to enhance our beauty.

Let’s take a closer look at the products Boom By Cindy Joseph has to offer.

Boom By Cindy Joseph Products

Boom By Cindy Joseph products include all of the following:

-Boomstick Color ($27): This coloring makeup provides “sheer, moist, universal color for cheeks, eyes, lips, neck and forehead”, reads the product packaging. It can be used as a lipstick, blush, eyeshadow, and as other makeup products.

-Boomstick Glimmer ($27): Glimmer is similar to Boomstick Color in that it can be added to multiple parts of your face to add a “subtle pearlescent glimmer”. The product is designed for your eyelids, cheeks, brow, and body to give it maximum radiance.

-Boomstick Glo ($27): This is an on-the-go moisturizer you can apply every morning before you leave the house. It calls itself “Boomsilk in a stick”.

-Boomstick Trio ($76): Includes all three of the above products in one kit. Each Boomstick product comes in a portable “stick” container that looks similar to lipstick. It’s designed to be placed in your bag or purse to be taken easily with you wherever you go.

-Holiday Duo ($54): Adds radiance and color to your face in 2 minutes using the Boomstick Color and Boomstick Glimmer products.

-Boomsilk ($21 for 2 Oz, $36 for 4 Oz, $58 for 8 Oz): Boomsilk is a moisturizer for your face and body designed to be applied to the delicate skin around your eyes, lips, face, and neck. It uses protective moisturizing ingredients like honey (a natural preservative and collagen stimulator) as well as bee pollen (which contains valuable vitamins, minerals, and amino acids that are easily absorbed by the skin).

-Boomcotton ($32 for 2 Oz, $54 for 4 Oz): Boomcotton is a non-oily moisturizer specifically designed to control your shine. It’s also organic and pure with no binders, parabens, phthalates, colors, perfumes, or emulsifiers. It can be safely applied to the skin around your eyes, face, lips, and neck.

-Boom Mask ($42 for 2 Oz, $56 for 4 Oz): This mask is a deep-penetrating facial mask that nourishes and heals your skin while pulling impurities from your pores. The formula contains no synthetic chemicals, fillers, parabens, phthalates, or fragrances of any kind. Instead, it’s an all-natural raw honey mask mixed with pink clay, Hawaiian blue green algae, essential oils, royal jelly, and propolis.

-BoomTouch ($28 for 2 Oz): BoomTouch is a lubricant women of any age can use to enhance sexual pleasure. Ingredients in BoomTouch are similar to Boomsilk (minus the honey). It promises to provide long-lasting lubrication with no additional scent or flavor.

All Boom By Cindy Joseph products are paraben and phthalate free. The company also describes its full list of ingredients on each product listing – which is something we don’t always see in the beauty industry. They’re open, honest, and transparent about what goes into each product.

Many of the moisturizer products also rely on honey or bee pollen. This honey and bee pollen is “handmade in small batches by our bee keepers in Hawaii”, according to Boom.

The company also does not perform animal testing on any of its products. They claim to be environmentally conscious wherever possible and use no extra packaging in their products.

Who is Cindy Joseph?

Cindy Joseph is a makeup artist turned supermodel. Her bio page on the official Boom website claims that her “natural make-up style influenced the face of beauty for 25 years.”

In her professional career, Cindy chose to apply makeup that enhanced the model’s natural features to allow the character and personality of the woman to come through – instead of having the makeup replace her natural beauty.

In 1999, at the age of 49, Cindy was purportedly approached on the street by a casting agent to model for Dolce and Gabbana. Soon after, she began her modeling career with Ford Models, Inc. Over the years, she has appeared in a wide range of beauty campaigns across multiple companies, including Garnier, Olay, Aveda, Macy’s, Ann Taylor, J. Crew, and others. She has also appeared on the cover of Oprah, More, Glamour, Mademoiselle, and other fashion and beauty magazines. You can view her modeling portfolio here.

One of the central ideas behind Cindy Joseph’s skincare lineup is to lead the “pro-age” revolution. Many companies are focusing on “anti-aging” products and fighting back the effects of time. Cindy Joseph, however, is taking a different approach, and believes that we should shift our anti-aging attitudes to pro-age attitudes.
