‘Tis the season for the annual Truth In Aging best of the best awards. We will be awarding the title of “Best of 2015” to anti-aging skin care products in the categories of Eye Serum or Cream, Marta’s Pick, Most Innovative Formula, Product Under $100, New Product Launch, Body Treatment, Hair Product, Readers’ Pick and Product of the Year.
Over the coming days, I’ll be announcing the “Best of 2015” for products that have been lovingly formulated with heavy-hitting active ingredients or innovative approaches that truly deliver on their bold anti-aging claims. They are already winners with me and the Truth In Aging community. Of course, we’ll be easing the “dollars spent” aspect with a special Best of 2015 Sale from now until December 21st.
To continue our awards season…. Drum roll….. Here’s the most innovative formula of 2015:
Rejuvel 3D
I’m constantly searching for the next anti-aging breakthrough, and this product wowed me before I even had the chance to try it. Rejuvel’s signature anti-aging serum, Rejuvel 3D ($149 in the shop, is formulated with three dimensional cells developed with patents licensed from NASA. These cells are put in a rotating vessel that NASA originally developed to figure out the effects of microgravity. When cells were cultivated in this vessel, they were found to be three dimensional, much like real ones in plants or humans. There are a couple of elements to the cylinder that are helpful for cell culture. One is the reduction of friction, which can stress cells out. The other is a magnetic pulse that further stimulates the cells.
Rejuvel has taken this 3D cell technology and applied it to stem cells from green tea. Specifically, they are callus cells (the cells that are triggered when a plant is wounded) and subjected to culture within the rotating cylinder. Being more akin to actual cells, they should communicate better with our cells and go about getting useful things done, like making fibroblast. The application of 3D cell technology sets Rejuvel 3D’s formula apart and the overwhelming interest from the Truth in Aging community signaled that this was something I needed to dive into.
Although I was initially skeptical about if this space-age science could effectively be applied to anti-aging skin care, I was impressed with my results after testing Rejuvel 3D. This serum noticeably softened my forehead wrinkles and crow’s feet, but it doesn’t work at the speed of light. The results aren’t instantaneous, but they’re worth it. I’m excited to see what Rejuvel does next!
