Kate Ryan Total Nutrition Night Repair Complex

Kate Ryan Total Nutrition Night Repair Complex

by Linda

I’m 56 with light wrinkles, large pores and confused skin: sometimes oily, sometimes dry, sometimes both at once! My neck is beginning to sag, lines are etching around my mouth, and my upper chest is still recovering from an awful sunburn three years ago (the one spot I forgot to apply sunscreen!). What can come to my rescue?

Kate Ryan Total Night Repair Complex ($25)! With its powerhouse ingredients including six botanical oils (olive, jojoba seed, sesame seed, sweet almond, avocado seed, and pomegranate seed), collagen, vitamins E, A, and B3, CoQ10, resveratrol and several other antioxidants. This product works hard to improve skin quality by hydrating, protecting, and repairing.

The price, $25 for 50 ml of product, makes it a strong contender in a field of much higher-priced options. Packaging is minimalist – a frosted see-through bottle with an easy-to-use pump. The batch number and expiration date are handwritten on the label, giving the product a sort of handcrafted look. Directions for use are printed there, too.

Is it effective? My vote is, yes. My skin is calmer, more evenly toned, hydrated, smoother, tighter, and there have been no breakouts. Fine lines are less noticeable, too. Best of all, the damaged skin on my chest is beginning to look like ordinary skin, not nearly as reddened and leathery as it had been. That’s a thumbs up!

What didn’t I like? I found the color, texture, and scent of the product to be a little off-putting. It reminds me strongly of mashed banana. The thick product does absorb quickly, but is sticky, with a light sort of sour-fruit scent. There’s no color once on the skin, but some tackiness remains. This product makes me think of a homemade fruit-based mask, not unpleasant, but a little unrefined.

But the low price and effective ingredients do make this product a must-try. See what you think! And remember to use your sunscreen!
