Sparq calls itself “your daily nootropic” and promises to enhance your cognition and memory while facilitating learning. Here’s our Sparq review.
What is Sparq?
Sparq is a nootropic that contains a blend of multiple well-known nootropic ingredients stacked together. The manufacturer recommends taking Sparq daily “whenever you need that extra brain boost for being creative, studying, or playing sports.”
20 minutes after taking the pill, you’ll begin to feel the benefits.
Sparq comes in a distinctive flat disc jar similar to the ones used for foundation and makeup. It’s sold exclusively online and is produced by a company based in the Netherlands. All prices are in Euros, although you can order Sparq anywhere in the world.
Unlike many other nootropics on the market today, Sparq actually publishes its dosage information – although it does hide this information in a hard-to-find spot on its website. That’s a refreshing change from many other nootropics on the market today that will often refuse to divulge any information about their dosages.
With that in mind, let’s take a closer look at how Sparq works.
How Does Sparq Work?
Sparq contains six active ingredients, including caffeine, L-theanine, alpha GPC, N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine, Sulbutiamine, and Noopept. All of these ingredients are well-known nootropic formulas that we’ve seen in dozens of other supplements to date.
The makers of Sparq go into great detail about why they added each ingredient to the formula. Here’s a brief overview of their reasoning:
— Noopept: Noopept is an acetylproline-containing dipeptide. It’s thought to be 200 times more effective than piracetam and has been extensively studied over the years. It was originally developed by Soviet researchers and has been traditionally used as an anti-anxiety medication. It can also prevent oxidative damage in the brain while stimulating nerve growth factor (NGF), leading to its powerful cognitive benefits.
— Sulbutiamine: Sulbutiamine is a concentrated version of vitamin B1 that is specifically designed to target the brain, boosting your motivation and productivity. Sparq claims that it makes your brain work faster, giving you better memory recall, better reasoning skills, and more clarity of thought.
— Alpha GPC: Alpha GPC is another well-known nootropic ingredient that is actively being researched for its ability to treat Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. It’s thought to work by raising levels of acetylcholine in the brain. Acetylcholine is the neurotransmitter responsible for storing and retrieving memories – so you can enhance your memory while taking this supplement.
— Caffeine: Caffeine is the most widely-used psychoactive substance in the world. It works as a stimulant and, at the right dosage, can boost your energy and focus. There are 200mg of caffeine in each serving of Sparq, which is more than 2 Red Bulls and about the same as two strong cups of coffee.
— NALT: Also known as N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine, NALT is an amino acid formula that positively affects the brain – even though its mechanisms are not fully understood. It’s thought to raise dopamine levels in the brain while also positively affecting other chemicals in your brain that affect your cognition.
— L-Theanine: L-Theanine, found in green tea, is an amino acid that is famous for giving users a state of relaxed alertness. It’s often stacked with caffeine to take the “jittery” edge off of caffeine. It’s an amino acid that has been shown to provide anti-stress effects in various human studies.
Ultimately, the makers of Sparq are open and honest about their ingredients list. They publish scientifically-backed information online and cite their references with good evidence.
But the real question is: does Sparq have the correct dosage? Let’s take a closer look.
Sparq Ingredients
Sparq lists all of the following ingredients:
-200mg of Caffeine
-100mg of L-Theanine
-300mg of Alpha GPC
-300mg of N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine
-300mg of Sulbutiamine
-20mg of Noopept
That’s the dosage in two of Sparq’s vegan capsules. Overall, these would be considered a medium to strong dose. The recommended dose for Noopept, for example, which is one of the most powerful nootropics in the world, is 10 to 30mg, which puts Sparq’s 20mg right in line with what we like to see.
200mg of caffeine combined with half that dose of L-Theanine is also sufficient to give you a jolt of energy but with L-Theanine helping to take at least some of the edge off.
Alpha GPC, on the other hand, is typically purchased in doses of 300mg per capsule. You can buy Alpha GPC supplements from Amazon at this dosage.
Finally, Sulbutiamine is also the dosage we like to see. The average dose used in scientific studies is 400mg per day, while the dose in Sparq is 300mg per day.
We have reviewed hundreds of weak nootropic formulas that use dosages one-tenth or less of the recommended daily dose. Sparq is a refreshing change. With Sparq, you get the same dose used in scientific research studies. And, you get that dose across pretty much all of its ingredients. That’s a very good thing.
Sparq Pricing
Sparq is one of the most powerful nootropic stacks sold online today, but it’s still available at a reasonable price. Here’s how pricing breaks down:
-30 Capsules (15 Day Supply): €19.95
-60 Capsules: €39.95
-90 Capsules: €56.95
-4 Capsule Sample: Free
All purchases come with a €6.25 flat rate shipping fee.
There’s also an autoship option on all of the above packages, where you can pay the same amount per month and receive regular shipments in your mail. Typically, manufacturers give a small discount when you sign up for an autoship program, but that doesn’t appear to be the case with Sparq.

Should You Use Sparq to Enhance Cognition?
Overall, Sparq is one of the best nootropics we’ve reviewed. It comes with a powerful dose of all its ingredients and uses scientifically-proven ingredients to achieve targeted cognitive effects. Better yet, it’s available at a reasonable price. You can also get a free sample of 4 capsules if you like.
The supplement is made by a European-based company but offers reasonable shipping prices around the world. All ingredients are backed by plenty of scientific research – although the actual Sparq formula as a whole has never gone through any clinical trials. Nevertheless, you can read plenty of studies reinforcing the benefits of each ingredient at the dose listed in Sparq – which is exactly what we like to see from a good nootropic.
For all of these reasons, Sparq is one European-made nootropic that you should consider trying if you’re interested in getting a convenient dosage of a powerful nootropic stack.
