Sublime Beauty Cellulite Whisperer Gel

Sublime Beauty Cellulite Whisperer Gel

By Sonoko R.

Approaching 40 years old and after having six kids, I started to see some cellulite around the upper thigh area between the seas of stretch marks. Initial thought: Yikes! I was excited to be given the opportunity to test Sublime Beauty Cellulite Whisperer Gel ($35). This gel is said to dissolve the toxins and reduce cellulite.

The brand recommends that you drink plenty of water, eat a well-balanced diet and exercise in addition to massaging the targeted area regularly for the best results when using Cellulite Whisperer. Having used many products that promised miracles yet didn’t deliver, these suggestions made the benefits of the product more believable to me. I began the testing process with a realistic expectation that this gel would help reduce the look of cellulite, but would not make the dimples disappear.

Some ingredients that I think are worth mentioning include organic gotu kola (at the top of the list), organic geranium, methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) and retinol. According to TIA’s ingredient list, gotu kola is thought to strengthen the skin, boost antioxidants in wounds and increase blood supply to the area. Organic geranium is said to boost skin elasticity, and MSM removes fluids and toxins inside the cell to promote softer, smoother and more flexible skin.

However, this gel also contains a couple of colorants and some ingredients that may be irritating for some. If you have sensitive skin, you may want to be cautious and test out small section first. My skin is rather dry and isn’t sensitive from neck down, so I didn’t experience any adverse reactions to this gel.

Cellulite Whisperer gel comes in a pump style bottle. Despite the name, I found the gel to be more of a lotion-like consistency. It has a pretty pink color and a delicious citrus scent. I exfoliated once a day and massaged in the gel with a brush twice a day — in the morning after my daily run and at night before going bed. Exfoliating the area before applying the gel helps the product penetrate better, according to the Sublime Beauty site. The gel spreads easily and is absorbed readily without leaving any stickiness. One pump was more than enough to cover each area for me.

After four weeks of use, I found that the area I applied the gel to is noticeably silky-smooth and softer than the surrounding skin. I wish that I had applied the gel all over! So how about the cellulite? Well, as I expected, the dimples are still there; however, there are no new ones. With continued use, plus regular exercise and a better diet, I’m hopeful that the gel will help reduce the cellulite further.

Overall, I liked the gel for the silky-smooth result. But as far as cellulite is concerned, I see this gel as more of an aide and not a cure. This product, in my opinion, is more effective when combined with regular exercise, regular massaging of the area and a good diet. It’s worth a try if you could keep up with such a plan. If interested, I found helpful processes that were designed for the product depending on an individual’s time and budget.
